Justin & Bridget ~ Mint Museum Wedding

Justin & Bridget’s wedding day was all things elegant, lovely, and full of happiness. I’ve been looking forward to photographing a reception at the Mint Museum in Uptown Charlotte since I moved here – and it did not disappoint! The light from the wall of windows is simply dreamy! The day started calmly surrounded by Bridget’s closest friends and family members. The ceremony at St. Matthew’s in Ballantyne was incredibly meaningful and heartfelt – they were so excited to be married they almost stole their first kiss before they were announced (adorable!) We headed uptown and captured their portraits at The Green – their bridal party knew how to ROCK it! I think they were made to be on the cover of a J- Crew wedding magazine! Bridget was a gorgeous and regal bride – all day she reminded me of a character straight out of Downtown Abby! Bridget and Justin were smitten with love – oh how I love how their faces just SHINE when around each other. It’s simply the cutest. Thank you Justin & Bridget for the honor of photographing such an elegant and lovely day. It was so evident how much your friends and family support and love you both – plus your group knew how to dance the night away! (what a FUN reception!) Thanks again to Bethany for helping me photograph their big day! Congrats you two and I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness! xo

The girls wanted the groomsmen to feel the burn of the “bend and squat” teehee!

Neal & Mary Paige – The Overlook at The Clinton House Wedding

Seems like just yesterday I was photographing Mary Paige & Neal and their sweet puppy at Freedom Park for their engagements in Charlotte! The couple had their wedding where Mary Paige grew up, in Clinton South Carolina! It’s the cutest little southern town and the wedding was perfectly southern and all things beautiful ! Two houses down from the Church is a gorgeous home with the most well-manicured and epic garden. We were thankful to get permission to photograph portraits on the property! It was definitely a photographers dream – and the perfect backdrop to have their private first look and portraits! While it’s been crazy and rainy around these parts, Mary Paige & Neal’s wedding fell on a summer day with puffy white clouds and the sun glowing bright! The day was relaxed and happy and I loved how all the details of the day carried a southern elegance. Mary Paige looked simply stunning and those tan suits and bow ties? Major swoon! I had the hardest time picking out images for this blog post – so many great moments! Thank you once again to Bethany for helping capture their wedding with me! Also, I can’t wait to share Mary Paige’s bridals with you soon! (It has been SO difficult waiting!) Thank you Mary Paige and Neal for allowing me the honor of capturing your special day. I am SO happy for you!! I couldn’t help but smile while I was editing their images – it was such a happy day (and FUN reception at The Overlook at the Clinton House!!!!) Congrats you two! xox

I love first looks! They had such a special and private moment together

Sometimes I get asked if I take “formal” portraits on the wedding day! Even though I don’t always showcase them on the blog posts, they do get captured!
I especially love when we get the chance to do them outdoors!

Swoon!

Live bands are SO much fun! Everyone danced the night away!

GrandmaIna - This was just beautiful! Even the guests were in bright colors and the room was lovely. I hope they stay as happy as they were that day!

Towns Wedding ~ Alexander Homestead Wedding

I feel like it was just yesterday I was sitting down to coffee chatting with Laura about all things life, love, and our passion for rescue pups! Laura and Aaron’s special day took place at the Alexander Homestead wedding venue right in the heart of Charlotte. It was a treat to photograph the wedding and reception their as the space has lots of land and a great big barn nestled across from a beautiful Victorian house where the bridal suite is located. The day started with a relaxed energy that lasted throughout the whole day. Laura and Aaron were calm and excited to become husband and wife and party the night away with their friends! When I say party, their friends def know how to have a good time! I love being able to capture so much energy and excitement on the dance floor!! Thank you Laura & Aaron for the honor of capturing your wedding day love story – your family and friends are ridiculously welcoming and I’m SO happy for you both! A huge thank you to Lisa for spending the day helping me capture their wedding! Also, If you are thinking about getting a pet (or want to help an amazing organization), PLEASE visit Dogs Day of Charlotte and *Like* their facebook page to get updates on adoptable pets (and if you want to be a pet foster!)
