Keswick Vineyards Virginia Wedding – Jack & Caitlin

This has been my third wedding (three years in a row!) back to Keswick Vineyards in Charlottesville, Virginia. I love the gorgeous rolling hills you can see for miles, the surrounding wooded areas (that get the very best sunsets), and the hospitality of everyone at Keswick. Plus every time I step foot on the property, all the memories of Chad & Lisa’s wedding (2012) and Will & Kelly’s wedding (2013) come rushing back like it was just yesterday. I really love the challenge of photographing each wedding there in a unique way – exploring new areas and telling each couples story as their own. Jack & Caitlin really made the whole day about celebrating with their closest friends & family. It was such a relaxed and happy day – filled with an assortment of Fall mixed drinks (who would have thought hot apple cider would go great with fireball – yum!), lots of laughter, spontaneous dance parties, a sunset ceremony, and an abundance of emotional hugs. Special thanks to Kasey for spending the weekend in Virginia with me and helping photograph their story. Jack and Caitlin, it was such an honor to photograph your wedding day at Keswick vineyards. Cheers to love and laughter together always xo

Tyler & Sandi – Trump National Wedding

Sandi & Tyler’s wedding at Lake Norman’s Trump National was such a treat to be part of. I’m so excited to share all the beauty, love, and laughs that the day held. It was also really neat to see Sandi & Tyler’s vision for the day come to life in the exact way in which I had imaged. I love how the neutral color themes were accented with pops of glam and gold details. The gold succulents in the flowers done by Willow Floral Boutique had me swooning — and how about those gorgeous bridesmaids dresses? Even with the chill (and high winds!) that swept the Carolina’s that weekend – the day felt effortless and simply happy. Sandi & Tyler have hilarious and sweet friends that like to DANCE. It was so fun to see everyone on the dance floor having the best time. A huge thank you to Julia for once again second shooting with me – you’re the bomb for so many reasons. Sandi and Tyler – I wish you so much love and bliss for your marriage!! Thanks for choosing me to document your love story. xo

Winston Salem Engagement – Alexandra & Matt

As I’ve been mentioning on the facebook business page, you are about to be bombarded with blog posts of awesome couples and families I’ve had the pleasure of photographing over the Fall season. First, I’m starting off with Alexandra and Matt’s engagement session! These two are as snuggly as they get – just wait till you see the images below and you’ll see what I mean. Alex traveled all the way to Winston Salem from Ohio just for the engagement session and enjoyed soaking up all the love and snuggles she could get before she had to travel back. It was fun spending the afternoon chatting with these two about all things psychology and their wedding (both are studying/working as psychologists) — I so enjoyed reminiscing about my previous field of study. At the end of the session my glasses were getting in the way so I placed them on top of my head — little did I know they fell off in the middle of the field/park we were photographing and RUNNING around in …. I can’t thank Alex and Matt enough (STILL) for walking back from our cars in the middle of the night with our cell phone flashlights looking endlessly for my glasses. Thankfully, when I thought all hope was lost, the edge of my cell phone light caught the fog on the glass and I found them as we were headed back to our cars. Not gonna lie, I acted all tough but I would have been scared out of my mind in the pitch black by myself out there lol, so thank you both again for your caring and helpful hearts! Enjoy a few favorites from their snuggle engagement session. Can’t wait for your wedding at Lake Lure next October! xo
