This session was one of love. Familiar love. As soon as Deidra and I discussed capturing she and her husband, I became excited to be able to take part in such a unique session. You see, most of the couples that want to be photographed are recently engaged or getting married. As this is an extremely important part of life, of course couples want to capture the beginning stages of their lives together. What about couples who have been together for years? Couples who have weathered the rollercoaster of ups and downs that life so often brings upon us. I think that marriage is one of the most beautiful gifts two people could ever share. A person to call friend, partner, soul mate. It’s important to celebrate the gift of marriage on a daily basis. Be it dancing in the kitchen together after a long day of work, laughing to jokes that only the two of you would ever understand, or getting the chance to take a quiet walk and just be. Daniel & Deidra decided to capture their familiar love through images that they will be able to share for generations to come. That is why I will now be offering “Date Night Sessions” for married couples. An opportunity to get dressed up, spend some time with me – capturing the unique love that you share together, and then head out to a quiet dinner with just the two of you. A chance to rekindle the spark that may have gotten buried beneath the piles of bills or heavy workload. A chance to not only capture that love, but relive it every time you flip through the images. You don’t need a special occasion to capture memories, let’s celebrate your marriage. I’d love to be part of that celebration.
Deidra & Daniel, I had so much fun getting to know you both as a couple. Your marriage is fun loving, joyous, and God inspired. I hope when you look back on these images years from now, you’ll remember time as it was during this season of your lives. Thank you for the chance to get to know you both and your beautiful and oh-so-happy (and FUN) marriage. Keep that spark alive and healthy – <they were sharing kisses even when the camera wasn’t ready!> Enjoy.
