Ramsey & Heather ~ Engagement

I can’t begin to explain how happy I am to be writing this right now! Since I’ve been traveling back to Virginia for sessions/weddings, I was without internet for the last FOUR DAYS! That might be a lifetime record. This wouldn’t be THAT big of a deal if it wasn’t for the awesome engagement session I didn’t get to sneak peek! Ramsey & Heather were so understanding and awesome about the lack of internet on my end, but I’m sure they are so super excited to see these! Take a look at these two! Aren’t they so in love? There are so many that I’m excited to post – more later! YaY!

Lila Purdy - Super cute and like always great job

Budavich Wedding ~ Part 2

Surprise! Part 2 is here! Like I said, it was very hard to narrow them down! I just loooove being able to tell the story of the wedding day. What better way to relive such a special event than through images? As you can see below, this post starts off where Part 1 ends — with portraits, the ceremony, and the groovin’ reception! They even had the cutest exit, which I can’t wait to share! With that being said, enjoy the images!!! Thank you again to Christian Agha for being an awesome travel companion and second shooter! Thank you Brie & Matthew for making me feel like part of the family. It was such a beautiful wedding and I am so so so honored to have been part of it! xoxo!

Budavich Wedding ~ Part 1

I am SO excited to showcase these images! So much so, I decided to post them in a Part 1/Part 2 series! Let me start off by saying just how much LOVE and HAPPINESS surrounded Brie & Matthew’s wedding day. From the moment I saw the bride-to-be upon arriving to the Richmond golf course, she immediately embraced me with a warm smile and HUGE hug! One of the biggest blessings of this job is getting to first meet the couple during their engagement session — after months, sometimes a year going by, their special day is FINALLY here! As the person who is with the bride/groom more than almost anyone else on that special day, it’s SUCH a beautiful and surreal honor — one that I feel SO blessed to take part in. You may even catch me holding back tears throughout the day… (did I just admit that on my blog?) Brie & Mathew’s wedding was more beautiful than words can ever describe. All wedding days have their own “tone” — their own feel, pace, and flow. Theirs was inspired by God – of joy, love, and relaxation. I have never before felt such a CALM on a wedding day! Not to mention the bridesmaids brought a rockin’ ipod that included some Bieber — you just KNEW the day was going to be perfect! And perfect, it was:-)huge thank you to Christian Agha for being such a great second shooter for the day. His warm personality and calm matched that of the day – you can check out his work here!  The Part 1 images (as you will see below), include the details and beginning parts of their wedding day. Can you believe that Brie designed and MADE each centerpiece? Love me some DIY brides! Be on the lookout for Part 2, where I discuss/display their ceremony, reception, and showcase their beauuuutiful portraits!

Brie & Matthew also decided to go with doing a First Look! Actually, when we first discussed it during their engagement shoot, they had decided against it. After some discussion with each other, she wrote back a few months before the wedding saying they had changed their minds! While riding back on the golf cart after their portraits, Brie exclaimed how happy she was they had decided on doing the first look — how special the moment was, having some alone time, and how relaxed she felt for the rest of the day. As you will see in Part 2, they were still very overcome with tearful and happy emotions as she walked down the aisle. For any brides deciding on whether or not to do a first look (and I know it’s a very hard decision), I would talk with past brides who were in your shoes in making the decision!
