Persing Wedding ~ Part 2

After Heather and Ramsey walked down the aisle (as a newly married couple, woohoo!) we scurried outside to make the best use of the light we had left (it’s crazy how early the light disappears in late fall!) We ran to the magical patch of forest in the back of the church for some really beautiful moments. I just love how their emotions truly shine through in all of the images – they have such a strong and loving connection. It makes my work as a photographer extremely easy! Heather and Ramsey’s reception took place at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens – if you haven’t been there before, it’s a must! I was so happy to have been able to capture the couple during their engagement session in the Gardens. Especially with how beautiful it was with all the glorious fall colors! Make sure you check that session out! The reception was filled with so many friends and family that really cared about the couple – you could definitely feel the love in that room! And Boy-oh-Boy can their friends/family DANCE! It was so great to see everyone having so much fun on that dance floor! Thank you thank you thank you to Valerie Demo for second shooting once again! This was our last wedding of the season together (so sad!) and I can’t thank her enough for being such an awesome working partner (we make such a fantastic TEAM) and amazing friend. I have no words for how thankful I am for her – she believes in me SO much and it’s such a blessing! (xoxox Val) It was REALLY hard to narrow this wedding down – Enjoy Part 2!

Dillon + Vanessa ~ Engagement

Since I recently moved to Charlotte, I was thrilled to be able to do Vanessa & Dillon’s engagement shoot in Virginia Beach while I was in town shooting a wedding the same weekend! They traveled down from Washington D.C. for a day of portrait fun in downtown Norfolk and the beach front. We had so much fun collaborating for weeks before the shoot and I loved getting to know about their personalities and relationship! I knew it was good to be a fun one when we started talking about using mustaches! (see below, teehee). These two have SUCH a fun relationship – so much laughter! Which as you all know, my camera LOVES laughter! The area was a “bit” windy that day. By the time we got to the beach, it felt like a hurricane – no joke! (Especially since we parked in a “wind tunnel” between two hotels!) As you can see from the pics below, we had so much fun in all sorts of different settings/backgrounds! I LOVE the variety and it really shows their personalities! They both REALLY love the beach, so I was really happy that we got to incorporate both type of “scene” and end off at one of their favorite places. Vanessa & Dillon, it was such an honor and pleasure! Thanks for being SO fun and making me feel like an old friend! Enjoy the wedding planning process – and keep laughing together always!! Enjoy <3

Aunt Jeannie - The photos are absolutely beautiful! The thought of my Nessa Bessa growing up and living away from home brings tears to my eyes. However, after viewing these photos and seeing the love between Vanessa and Dillon, I know she’ll be just fine. Thanks for the preview!

Hellen - I suggest adding a facebook like button for the blog!

Glessner Family ~ Sneak Peek

There is just SO much to say about this wonderful couple (who are an awesome photography team!) Elizabeth contacted me a few weeks ago wanting some Fall/Christmas pics for the holidays! She’s such a wonderful person! I had the pleasure of rooming with her during a photography conference in Atlanta a few months ago. It was so great getting to meet her other half/husband Josh! Most of us photographers are used to being behind the camera, so I LOVE that they wanted me to photograph them! It was such a laid back and fun time — even Monty (their ADORABLE Scottie puppy) had fun! Although, I don’t think he enjoyed getting glitter all over his beard when trying to pick up the Christmas ornament thinking it was fun toy! Check back soon for even more, but for now it’s time for some SNEAKS! Enjoy <3
