Tramonte Family ~ Portraits

Oh hi there blog world! Yes, it’s me, I am alive! You will be seeing lots of fun postings in the coming weeks – so much to write about! As you can see, I’m writing from a NEWLY updated blogsite. It might undergo a few minor enhancements, but I love that it’s clean and easy to navigate! Plus did you notice there are now pictures of MYSELF? Yes, I went on the other side of the lens, so you can now see who Alicia White exactly is! If you go to the “alicia” section, there are a few more! Lauren and I had fun capturing each others images for our sites while we were at a photography conference in Las Vegas. I promise, there will be more on this later! For now, I wanted to highlight a really special family. Patrick and I went to college together and were team leaders on a Metanoia retreat my senior year at The University of Dayton. We quickly became friends and spent the majority of senior year attending similar outings and get togethers – looking at college pictures, many of them include both of us! Being close, I was one of the first people to see the engagement ring he later put on Sarah’s hand and attended their wedding in Georgia a year later! After graduation, he moved to Georgia and I bounced around between Ohio, Virginia, and now North Carolina. With the passing time, we stayed connected through facebook and christmas calls, but haven’t actually gotten to catch up/see each other in FOUR years! I recently attended/worked a Jasmine Star workshop (The Fix) in Atlanta and I contacted Sarah and Pat to see if I could spend some time with them, help out with their ADORABLE newborn and 2 year old, and capture some family portraits! Thank you to the both of them for opening up your home to me – especially with a newborn baby! I had so much fun catching up and seeing how our lives have changed in four VERY QUICK years. I am extremely thankful that social media, facebook, and phone calls are so readily available to us – so it was very easy to catch up like we had seen each other a week before! Now that I live in Charlotte, I’m hoping for more trips to Atlanta to spend time with you and your little ones! Hannah-Kate was born at nearly 10 pounds – isn’t she beautiful? Sarah delivered her naturally – now THAT is a champ. Here are just a few of the memories I got to capture at such a special time in their lives. Enjoy!

Before I post the new portraits, I wanted to post a few point-and-shoot pics from YEARS ago – some of these are 2006, where did time GO!?

World, Meet Hannah-Kate.

Stacy + Jordan ~ Engagement

I know it’s a little late, but Happy Valentines Day everyone! Even though I think we should tell our loved ones everyday how much we love and appreciate them, I hope you all had a truly beautiful Valentine’s Day filled with lots of mushy gushy goodness — I know I got my fair share of chocolate and warm fuzzies for the day! Speaking of love, I’m so excited to be sharing the big blog post of Stacy + Jordan’s Waxhaw engagement session! I love how these two make each other laugh and after having been together for so long, have that comfortable love and friendship that comes with the passing years side by side together. If you haven’t gotten a chance to stop by Waxhaw, North Carolina, it’s the cutest little town! I just love quaint little places that have lots of charm, so thank you again to Stacy for the awesome suggestion. It’s been really exciting getting to hear about their wedding plans, and I can’t wait to photograph this wedding in early June! Without further ado, Stacy + Jordan’s sweet engagement pics everyone! Enjoy!

Larissa ~ Portraits

This post is special, because it features my “little” sister! Time sure does fly, as you can see she’s not so little anymore! One of my favorite parts of moving to Charlotte North Carolina is the fact that both my sisters are in the same city! It’s fun being able to call them up and meet for a mid-afternoon stroll through the park, like we did for this portrait session. I don’t know about your area, but here in Charlotte, this winter has felt more like late spring! For reals, today is 70 degrees! Larissa and I decided to enjoy the “spring” like sunshine and walk around the park near her house. As I’ve mentioned, shooting for fun is so important to grow as an artist, especially being able to shoot in different lighting conditions. On this particular day, the sun was SUPER bright (not a cloud to be found) and we took our walk shortly after noon. It was fun being able to practice and find areas in the park that could work with the natural lighting conditions that we had that day. Plus, now Lariss and my family have some updated pics! Think of it as “Almost A Year Since College Graduation Pics” lol As I said wow, time flys! Thanks for being willing to stand on the other side of my lens and climb through some weeds for me! Even though your growing into a mature and beauuuutiful adult, you’ll always be my little sis (Love ya!) Enjoy <3
