Amy & David *Sneak Peek* ~ Virginia Beach Wedding

This was a wedding of many firsts. I loved the relaxed and easy going atmosphere of the entire day. It was so fun being part of an intimate sunrise ceremony and brunch reception. It’s been awhile since I’ve been back in Virginia Beach – today I realized I missed the beach more than I thought. Despite the crazy weather (downpours one second/bright sunshine the next), the ceremony & day was filled with SO much love as two families became one unit. Thank you to Amy & David for inviting me to capture your special day and beautiful/extremely loving family. All the kids are amazing – never a dull moment (and they wouldn’t have it any other way!) Enjoy the sneak peek! xoxo

Sydney & Andrew ~ Vanlandingham Estate Wedding

Ever since Sydney & Andrew’s engagement session, I was extremely excited for their upcoming wedding day. Their admiration for each other is extremely evident in their sweet and gentle interactions. I have never met a bride so relaxed and easygoing on her wedding day. Both bride and groom were surrounded by family and friends throughout the morning – everyone was so happy to celebrate their union as husband & wife. Getting married at The Vanlandingham Estate was a perfect fit for this couple. It has that refined old estate feel but is also surrounded by numerous beautiful and plush gardens and the large gorgeous southern trees that hold many years of history and rich stories. I loved how the couple incorporated the southernness of the estate by filling the backyard with classic outdoor games, a paint by number canvas, wildflowers at every turn, and a dessert table that would rival Paula Deen’s kitchen any day. Carla at Style Perfect Weddings & Events did a wonderful job and it was so exciting to see how the ideas, planning, and coordination unfolded so beautifully. I won’t lie, I teared up on multiple occasions throughout the day. It was simply beautiful. All of it. Oh and I’ll tell you one thing, this couple and their friends/family can DANCE. Andrew said it best “I feel like I’ve married into the Travolta family!” The dance floor never stopped hopping. A big thank you to Sydney & Andrew for allowing me the honor to capture the story of your wedding day. It is truly a gift to capture such a pure & gentle love that you both share. Enjoy!

That wedding band (below) has been passed down through Sydney’s family for generations. I just love that!

Johannah & Mike *Sneak Peek* ~ The Green Charlotte Engagement

Oh my heart skips a beat when I think about these two. I love meeting people who are so in love it shines without any words necessary. It has been such a gift to see these two interact with such a gentle kindness and outpouring of love. Plus they constantly make each other laugh, which is a gift all on its own! We headed to uptown Charlotte (The Green) to shoot these engagement images and then headed to other parks in the nearby area. Who knew that uptown Charlotte had such beautiful forests and greenery? There will be of course more soon, but I couldn’t wait to post some sneaks of these two love birds. Gosh so cute!
