Cale & Amanda ~ Engagement

Oh these two. Both Cale & Amanda are not only a GORGEOUS couple – but have the best/nicest personalities! We spent a relaxing Sunday afternoon driving to different locations around North Carolina capturing their love and sweet interactions. They couldn’t keep their eyes (and lips!) off of one another throughout the session. I feel humbled and honored when I get to capture the type of love they share together. After the session I got to spend even more quality time with the couple and play with their adorable new additions! They adopted two dogs from shelters in the area (makes me so so happy!) I think I squealed out loud when I saw the two lil’ furballs running towards the door. From the bottom of my heart thank you for having me over for dinner and treating me like I was an old friend. I really enjoyed that Sunday night of hanging out — chatting about life, love, and watching all those hilarious youtube videos! I really cannot WAIT for their wedding next year. Ally & Carlos ~ Cleveland Ohio Wedding

I had SO much fun reliving this wedding while editing the images (so many laughs!) I met Ally during my first ever photography class – feels like just yesterday! (wow time REALLY is flying) When Ally wrote that she’d love for me to photograph their wedding – I was honored and so so excited! Not only is she the sweetest, but I just love their fun style. Plus I got to travel back to Ohio (second time in one month) for another wedding (YAY!) I really enjoy how much fun traveling for weddings is – it shakes things up a bit. I get to shoot in new venues, locations, different types of weather and geographic scene! Ally and Carlos brought me to super unique locations all around the city for their first look & portraits. It was a perfect mixture of nature and urban – I loved the different “feel” each location brought to the images. When she first told me about the reception site (smARTspace at 78th) – I think I squealed out loud. It’s a brick industrial art studio/gallery where artists rent studio space and events are held. They spent SO much time decorating/setting up – all the details throughout were perfect for their fall wedding. Both Ally and Carlos are artists and a few people in the wedding party are photographers themselves – talk about pressure! I’ve been working on this blog post for a few days — originally I had almost 200 images that I wanted to share. It was a full and wonderful wedding day and I so so loved getting to photograph all the emotion and tell their story from my eyes and heart. Enjoy this *glimpse* at such a unique, beautiful, & fun day all around Cleveland, Ohio (they know how to PARTYYYYYY) Thank you to Hilary for helping me capture their day! Ally & Carlos – you two share something incredibly special. I love how much you KNOW each other & how your relationship really shone through in all of the different personal details & elements of the day (he tattooed her initial as his wedding band!)
