As soon as they stepped out of the car, they couldn’t take their eyes off of one another. Little did I know they hadn’t seen each other in a matter of weeks – and wouldn’t see each other for a month after our session. Kathleen is currently in dental school (she has the nicest teeth! – is that a requirement? haha) and Daniel is serving in the military (Marines). Due to their hectic schedules (and hours of distance between them), they sometimes spend weeks/months apart from one another. Long distance is never easy, but they never once whined or complained – rather they spent the time together in sweet embraces and loving gestures. What they share together could never be described with mere words. Even in just a few minutes I could see just how much they admire and respect each other. It’s sessions like this that remind me what a gift, honor, and blessing it is to be able to do this with my life. Thirty years from now when Kathleen & Daniel are reflecting on how life was during their engagement, I hope they can look fondly upon these images and remember that even though the distance/time/sacrifices were tough – that when they were together the world stopped around them and they could “just be” – in the company of each others loving embrace. There were SO many images I could share with you today, but here’s a glimpse into the connection & love these two have together. Simply a beautiful love. Cannot WAIT til their December wedding! Enjoy! xox
