Charleston Adventures ~ Engagement

Last weekend, the amazing Megan (of Lime Green Photography) invited me to go on an exciting adventure that combined many things that I love. If you’ve never been to Charleston, SC – you are missing out. big time. It’s the kind of city you yearn to have more time to visit all the restaurants, walk all the streets, and explore. I’m happy to live so close to such a historical and fun city. Not only is it beautiful, but a photographers playground. Megan was traveling to Charleston to photograph an uber adorable couple (i love anything love!) and asked if I would like to join her for the day and photograph/hang out with her. Yes and Yes! I thoroughly enjoyed getting to spend time with Megan and meet Heidi and Sean. What a beautiful couple with a special special relationship. They have such big hearts for helping others and I love the outreach work they both do in the non-profit world. Not gonna lie, I might jump in Megan‘s suitcase to help photograph this upcoming wedding. Thank you Megan for inviting me to come along, it was so so fun to learn new techniques – especially with use of sunlight. It was fun to be creative and try new things! I strongly urge photographers (both new and experienced) to second shoot. To learn, to be creative, to photograph for the LOVE of being a photographer. Oh – and to hang out with awesome awesome people. It was REALLY hard to narrow these down — Enjoy! xoxo

Emilia Jane - SUCH a sweet couple! I LOVE the black and white of them walking out of the water. Gorgeous :-)

Megan Gielow - Thanks for coming with! The photos looks fab :)

Autumn Lee - These are great! Her smile is contagious I can tell!!!

LM - WOW! The yellow ribbons are AWESOME!!!!! I also love how you got some that focused mostly on the groom. Grooms are people too. :)

Hannah McBride - Alicia,

I am an old friend of Sydney Riggsbee’s from high school. I just graduated from UNCC for art/photography and I just had a few questions for you about your equipment. Your photographs are amazingly beautiful, I’m in love with the ones you took of Sydney!

My first question is what camera body/lenses do you generally take with you during your sessions?

Also, do you own any lighting kits, or do you prefer natural lighting?

Thanks so much for your time!

From one of your fans,

Hannah
