When Kelly first inquired about photographing their wedding, it was almost like we were passing love notes back and forth to one another! She is simply one of the most sweet and happy people I’ve ever met! When we finally got to get together for their engagement session at Keswick Vineyards in Charlottesville, Virginia, I felt like I had known them for years! There were lots of immediate hugs and as we walked around photographing how much they adore each other, it felt as if I were catching up with old friends. As some of you may remember, I had the pleasure of photographing Lisa & Chad’s beautiful wedding last fall at Keswick. It’s the perfect gorgeous backdrop for a wedding and I was excited to be able to photograph engagement portraits around the property as well. Little did we know we also chose to photograph on the longest day (light wise) of the entire year! This just meant spending lots of hours getting to know these two and their loving relationship. Thank you Kelly for being simply so sweet and generous. Every time a note arrives in my mailbox it makes my heart swell with just how happy and kind you are!! I cannot wait for their upcoming fall wedding at the vineyard – it is sure to be filled with an abundance of DIY crafty details and an outpouring of LOVE! (squeal!)
