Between the two of us, Cathryn and I checked the weather channel leading up to the engagement session probably 100 times! We decided to chance the weather on a Sunday afternoon as they made their way up to Fort Mill from a few hours away. Literally the moment they pulled into the coffee shop where we were meeting, it started to sprinkle. The sprinkle quickly turned into a downpour (sad face). We decided to head inside, sip some coffee, and get to know each other while we waited out the rain (which I SO loved – thank you for the homemade cupcakes!) Thankfully the sky let up a bit and we ventured out to locations I’ve been excited to explore and boy-oh-boy am I SURE glad we did. Yes, it sprinkled on and off throughout the session (which turned into heavy rain at the end), but these two didn’t let any rain stop them from cuddling and spending the afternoon laughing & chatting while we photographed their engagement pictures! I absolutely love the chemistry and affection Cathryn and C.T. have together – it’s simply beautiful and you’ll know what I mean as you look through these images, you can’t help but smile! We embraced the rain as it made for empty parks and a serene atmosphere – it was as if time just stopped for the two of them that afternoon. Usually rain threatens to cancel a session – and although I love the glowy romantic light that sunshine brings, I wholeheartedly loooove the romance and energy that the spring rain brought to the session. Thank you C.T. and Cathryn for being so gosh-darn adorable together! I can’t WAIT for your upcoming Hilton Head wedding! Enjoy a sneak into their engagement session, I wish I could have showed them ALL !! xox
I love how magical the rain looks!
